I can relate to each of these people and their discussion with Dr. Talia Gershon in some way or another – okay maybe not the depth of the doctoral talk about fault tolerance (but I do follow!). I also think it’s interesting that within quantum computing circles they have laughable ‘common myths,’ that is myths that everyone else perceives of the industry that make insiders giggle. Only human.

WIRED has challenged IBM’s Dr. Talia Gershon (Senior Manager, Quantum Research) to explain quantum computing to 5 different people; a child, teen, a college student, a grad student and a professional.
