IoT Pool Pump with Voice Controls using #AdafruitIO and @OnionIoT

[Xenophod on Hackster] needed a way to remove the water with from their pool cover without running outside in the pouring rain to throw a pump into their pool cover. To do this, they purposed a solar water heater project (an Onion2 Omega running a few bash scripts) but wanted a way to interact with and visualize data.

They installed Python and the latest Adafruit IO Python library onto the Omega2. Then, Xenophod wanted a way to interact with it using their voice. Xenophod used the new IFTTT Adafruit IO Integration to connect the solar pool pump to Google Assistant for voice controls.
