A selfie bot using a VT-220 terminal and ASCII art #ShowAndTell #Adafruit @Adafruit

On the Adafruit Show & Tell last week, Matt demonstrated his selfie bot which renders a picture in ASCII art on a vintage DEC VT-220 terminal.

The way the selfie terminal works is that you center your face in the circle overlayed on the video feed on the touchscreen. Press any key, then it counts down and takes the picture and displays it in ascii on the vt220 then prints the ascii and image out on the receipt printer it also prints a full page ascii image which is in far greater detail.
