Building a Model Kit Display Box

Here’s a cool idea from Bob Clagett of I Like to Make Stuff. Anyone who watches Bob’s channel knows that he’s a huge Star Wars nerd. He recently bought a retro-70s model kit of R2-D2 on eBay. In fact, he bought two.

He decided to make a special display that showed off both the model and all of the model kit parts. To make the display even more special, he added a suitably Star Wars design, weathering, and a faux control panel to the box.

As Bob points out in the video, he doesn’t expect others to make this specific project, but he wanted to show how you can take something you love and build a custom display for it that makes the whole thing something unique and special.
