#AdafruitLearnSystem Weekly Update

Last week on the Adafruit Learning System, we published 8 new guides. This weeks guides included a light up top hat, a Halloween special giant tombstone with an embedded Adafruit Matrix Display, an LED neon selfie spot, a face mask efficacy tester, and two new QT Py projects!
Favorite New Guide

Brent published this great new guide showing us how to build an internet connected air quality monitor using the PM2.5 air quality sensor, and the popular BME280 temperature, humidity, and pressure sensor. He then ties it all together by showing us how to view and log the data using Adafruit IO. This is a great project that shows just how easy it is to build an Internet of Things (IoT) device. Everything needed to build the device, from the boards, to the waterproof enclosure can be purchased on the Adafruit shop.
The Ruiz Brothers also gave a sneak peak of a custom 3D printed enclosure to take Brent’s project to the next level. Stay tuned for updates!
New Product Guides

Here it is, the motion sensor you were looking for: the one that just gives you the directly usable information without requiring you to first consult with a PhD to learn the arcane arts of Sensor Fusion. The BNO085 takes the life’s work of multiple people who have spent their entire career focused on how to get useful information from direct motion sensor measurements and then squeezes that information down into a 5.2×3.8mm box, along with the sensors to go along with it.
ALS Deep Cut
The Adafruit Learning System now has 2317 published guides! As you can imagine, some amazing guides of years past get buried and lost. ALS Deep Cuts brings these guides back up to the surface.
This weeks ALS Deep Cut was published all the way back in April of 2016. Take your Professor Snape (or any Harry Potter) costume to the next level with the Alohamora Fairy Bottle by Erin St Blaine.
Explore the magic of capacitive touch with this magical potion bottle. Place the key in the lock to switch it on, then touch the magical locks on the bottle to make it change colors. Touch the locks in the right combination and the potion will swirl in beautiful rainbow colors.
Cosplay Projects
With Halloween right around the corner, we created a curated list of cosplay specific projects that would also make great Halloween costumes.
