Building Grimdark Carrying Cases/Dioramas for Sci-Fi Miniatures
The term grimdark comes from the Warhammer 40,000 tagline: In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only war.” The term has come to define a whole style of art, modeling, and gaming that is harsh, grubby, and grim.
All of this originates with John Blanche, the artist and illustrator who created much of the original look and feel of the Warhammer games. In fact, working in the grimdark style is also referred to as Blanchitsu.
In this collaboration, two YouTube modelers, Dark Matter Workshop and Berserkerworks create diorama boxes/miniature cases in the grimdark style.
