Particle Ethersim, Free Plan, and New Pricing Model #IoT #Cellular #Particle @particle

Particle made a few announcements today during their Spectra event. They announced a new SIM card, Ethersim, which works with over 350 cellular carriers across the world and connects to 2G, 3G, and LTE networks. Using Particle’s Etersim should enable someone to deploy their cellular IoT projects in different countries without worrying about data plans or cellular network technology.

Particle also announced they’re making the Particle cellular IoT platform free for up to 100 devices. The new pricing model page details a free plan with up to 100,000 data operations per month across 100 devices.  Particle’s Tracking System was also updated to allow for more extensible configurations and a new feature called Location Fusion.
