What Makes Something Cyberpunk? #cyberpunk

One of the things that makes the cyberpunk mode so compelling and tenacious is its mercurial nature. No two people seem to have the same set of criteria for what makes something cyberpunk.

There are a ton of videos on the ‘Tube, with people of wildly informed and uninformed opinions, weighing in on the subject.

This video, by someone who calls himself the Cyber Shaman, asks some interesting questions about what constitutes a cyberpunk work, like whether it has to be a dystopian world, why the entire aesthetic seems to be derived from one source (Blade Runner), and whether cyberpunk has to be grounded in realism (e.g. Shadowrun).
